OPEN POSITIONS


Baker

Main Street Markets is looking for an experienced baker with cooking and creative experience. This is a part-time, year round position in a dynamic and fun cooking environment. Baker will work between two adjacent locations with convenient, nearby parking. Paid weekly. There is the potential of additional hours in other departments for those seeking full-time work. 

This job will be required to prepare daily rotating baked goods, desserts, and bread. 

Requirements include but not limited to: 

  • Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies 

  • Cooking menu items and creating new recipes 

  • Creation of Market specialties and specials 

  • Prep food for the week (preparing ingredients) 

  • Must be organized, able to think ahead, and dependable 

  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food

  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion 

  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards 

  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers 

  • Ability to work efficiently, organized, and handle multiple demands at a time 

  • Must have a basic understanding of food cost and be able to place orders with food vendors 

  • Have the ability to recognize food quality, and maintain relationships and contact with vendors to handle mis-picks and food deliveries. 

  • Must be willing to learn new things!

Café Team Member 

Join the Main Street Markets team! We are built on excellent customer service, delicious, quality foods, and groceries. Dynamic and busy well-established market/café seeks team oriented, personable, hardworking addition to our growing family of team members. 

Food Service Workers, this is an opportunity to work during the day. Flexible schedule, full and part-time positions available. Hourly positions paid weekly plus tips. Great opportunity for advancement for a leading and growing organization. 

Requirements: 

  • Provide excellent customer service 

  • Food prep experience is a plus! 

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs for grocery stocking and unpacking orders 

  • Must be able to multitask and manage multiple customer demands and requests at a time 

Daily tasks include: 

Working directly with customers, using our POS system, making salads, smoothies and sandwiches to order, stocking and re-stocking all café and deli items, answering the phone, cleaning, organizing, prepping foods, opening and/or closing responsibilities. We will train!

Main Street Markets in Rockland is looking for an experienced prep cook with cooking and creative experience. Hiring for full and part-time, year-round positions in a dynamic and fun cooking environment. Flexible schedule. 

This job will be required to prepare daily rotating hot food menu items, keep the deli case and grab-and-go full of ready-to-eat meals, entrees and sides, prepare catering and special orders, and make daily soups. Hourly position, plus tips, paid weekly.
